·        Planning and Budgeting Mechanical Projects (existing ,future)

·        Port Pipeline Operations.

·        Fixation of Rates.

·        Supervision of QMS.

·        Preparation of documents like Apex Quality Manual, MR Manual and Departmental Quality Manual for the Port in connection with the ISO 9001 Certification and upgrading / amending the documents as per the latest version from time to time.

·        Monitoring and supervising existing projects, maintenance work.

·        Grievance & Disciplinary action of consumers.

·        Approvals of Drawings.

·        Monitoring measurements submitted by the contractor.

·        Supervising all major and minor projects, including distribution of electricity and water distribution and contract workers

Mechanization of WQ-7 & 8 Berths at Visakhapatnam Port

VPT Envisaged to develop WQ-7 & WQ-8 Berths by provding mechanized handling facilities to handle bulk cargoes. These berths were constructed with internal resources at a cost of Rs, 243/- Crores. Total legth of the Berth is 560 mtrs. Capacity 6.14 MTPA.

Mechanization of EQ-7 Berth at Visakhapatnam Port.

VPT Envisaged to develop EQ-7 Berth by provding mechanized handling facilities to handle multiple cargoes including fertilizers. Total legth of the Berth is 255 mtrs.

Upgradation of Hydro graphic survey equipment i.e. MBES & DGPS (Multi-Beam Echo Sounder & Satellite based GPS).
